My wife is a trip and I love her for it. Actually, she is quite crazy! A couple of years ago she started making spoof videos of songs that she would write to the tune of a popular song. Everyone loved them and have been hounding her to make some more, she hasn't made one in quite awhile. Apparently she really loves he sister as she put a request in and made a new one on Friday night.
Usually when she makes these she is recording them on her phone with the music coming from her computer. Since I'm a photographer, and have the capabilities to record video, I asked her if she would let me record for her. Without skipping a beat she obliged and within minutes we were planning out a whole music video. LOL Ultimately we decided to dial it back but with a few wrinkles. So Saturday evening we picked up some dinner, and props, and set everything up for the video.
Now, I don't know how she does it but she just does. She had the song written in about an hour earlier in the day and was doing some dry runs before we actually recorded. Once she was ready we had all of the footage we needed in about four takes. I don't know much about recording music or making videos but that seems pretty efficient. LOL
Now the ball was in my court. I had to import, edit and export a video. Again, this isn't something I do on a regular basis but I was done in a little over an hour with a completed video ready for posting, pretty efficient! LOL
She had the video posted and within minutes, even though it was late at night, the reactions and comments were exactly what you would have expected them to be given her past success with these. Heck, she even got some kudos for the job that I had done. LOL
So now the question is, are we a team with these and just how elaborate are we going to get with them if so? LOL All I know is I had a blast helping her with this and can see big(ish) things happening in the future.
I can't post the video here, the file is too big, and I don't want to share it to YouTube. Hopefully you have seen the video on her page or my share of it.
